Why did you want to pastor this church? Why did you want to move to this town?
“To want” is not the right verb to use in my situation. Before I found this ministry opportunity at an online job posting for missionaries, I never knew about this church. Nor had I ever step foot on this part of the world.

Saying ‘yes’ to pastoring this church and moving to this town for me was just the logical next step in following God.
Because of the pandemic I had lost my previous ministry. Through a series of drastic events God showed me that I was not going to return to that ministry. So looking back was not the way to go. Looking ahead, there are so many directions to choose and I was lost. So up was the only direction I could reasonably look to find my path forward.
So here I am. I am here because God led me here, and because everything that led to that decision and everything afterward confirmed to me that God wants me here and do this ministry.
